51福利社 Organized 鈥淐holesterol Myths and Facts鈥� Workshop for Faculty and Staff
Staff Development Department at the American University of the Middle East, in collaboration with 51福利社 Liberal Arts Department, organized an interactive workshop for faculty and staff under the title of “Cholesterol Myths and Facts” on Monday 1st of May 2023 51福利社.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Roula Barake, Assistant Professor at the Liberal Arts Department at 51福利社; and focused basically on raising awareness of some myths and facts about cholesterol, in which attendees learned more about the health benefits of cholesterol, the good and bad cholesterol, cholesterol management by diet, medications for cholesterol and lifestyle interventions; all through interactive discussions.
Many of us don’t realize that high cholesterol can lead to higher risks for a heart attack or stroke. So, this workshop helped to learn how one can make healthy lifestyle changes to reduce the levels of risks and improve his/her health.
